Peter talks to slaves and challenges them to treat their masters with respect, even in the midst of persecution and suffering. We all suffer, we all go through difficult times in our lives. What Peter has to say is applicable to us.
Today’s secular culture is increasingly opposed to the values of Christ followers. Today we will look at the call to Dare To Be Different as followers of Jesus, to live lives of holiness.
Today we are beginning a new series called In Courage. Over the next eight weeks we will look at 1 Peter. Today we discover that as a follower of Jesus we live with an unfair advantage, specifically when it comes to our struggles.
In the church we talk a lot about the heart don’t we? The state of your heart is the most important thing in your life… so as we begin 2022 we’ll discuss the State of Your Heart, and we’ll see what the Bible says about getting your heart in shape
Ephesians 3:1-12. This morning as we begin 2022, I want to remind you of the great promise that even though we may give up on ourselves, we have a God who loves us so much that he doesn’t give up on us.
As we wrap up the 2021 Christmas season I want to share a message that sums up this season. The Christmas story is all about the love of God for his people. God set the standard for us to follow and model to the world around us.
Today we will examine the events following Jesus’ birth. We will meet Simeon again, as well as Anna, and will see Herod continue to protect his throne. We also hear more about John the Baptist, and his calling to prepare the way for the Messiah.
We will discover that you cannot fit God in a box. He functions in ways that seem odd to our cultural views of how society should function. He uses anyone, who seeks him with all of heart, soul, mind and strength.
Today we will hear Mary’s story. Elizabeth and Zechariah’s story, as well as Jacob’s story. We will discover that God desires to use ordinary everyday people like you and I.
Today is the first Sunday of Advent, the season in which we observe (and celebrate) the birth of Christ. We begin a new series called “Once Upon a Time in Bethlehem.” Over the next four Sundays we will follow the events of the Christmas story.
Join us as we unpack Jesus’ teaching found in Luke 17:1-6. He is teaching us how to ignite the spark of growth in others, through not only our words, but also through our actions, and it's not nearly as difficult as you might suppose.
Part four of our series It Only Takes A Spark. We are looking at the Spark of Generosity and our main passage of Scripture is Luke 6:38. Join us as we talk about generosity and the law of the harvest.
