Gratitude is the key to a rewarding life; ingratitude is a prescription for misery. So today as we celebrate Thanksgiving I thought it would be good to pause and take a look at what it means to be grateful.
Rev. Rodney Peterson takes some time to encourage the Body of Christ
What Paul says about his life’s work and his life’s purpose should help us as we strive in seeking out our own purpose in life and how we should approach our own life’s work. That’s because we all, like the Apostle Paul, have a calling.
Over the next couple of chapters Paul helps us to know how to apply our freedom in a way that brings honour to Jesus Christ. Simply put, True spirituality isn’t measured merely by how good you are, but by how good you are to others.
Today we’ll see Paul give some wide sweeping, or a big picture approach to discipleship which is applicable for all of us. In verses 17-24, he talks about what we should change and what should remain the same in our life situation when we come to Christ.
Today in our series Paul addresses another issue in the church surrounding marriage. Although we could look at very specific issues around intimacy I will focus our attention on some Big Picture guidelines for married people.
As we continue in our journey in this book we’ll see some more bad behaviour that Paul addresses. He is saying that there’s no such thing as consequence-free behaviour. These principles apply to us today as well.
Today, we'll take a closer look at God's commitment (or covenant) with the Human Race, in other words, we will look at God’s commitment to you and me. In Jeremiah 31:31-37 he tells us exactly what kind of God he will be for us.
Today’s text is challenging not only because it addresses a situation that isn’t pleasant to preach about, but it also presents the challenge of: How do we apply this text to our church, our ministry, and our lives
The Christian life is about uniting with Jesus Christ in his death and being transformed into his likeness — not as a spectator in the stands but as a soldier on the field of battle.
Today, as we conclude this section, Paul concludes the thought he first began to develop in chapter one — specifically about the world's wisdom versus God's wisdom
Join us as we celebrate 100 years of ministry in Eyebrow. Today we’ll look at the faithfulness of God to this church and this community. The faithfulness of God’s people who have journeyed before us and the faithfulness of God in each of our lives persona
